Minnesota vs. Rutgers NCAAF Pick – Week 8

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights welcome the Minnesota Golden Gophers to Get a Big Ten matchup at New Jersey.

Rutgers are searching in their roster for signs of life, since they aspire to prevent a listing of. Their only win on the season came in Week 1 from the Reduce UMass Minutemen.
UMass have only one win too, which came from an Akron squad that is equally dreadful. Rutgers had a quarterback operating the show in Week 1. McLane Carter showed the Scarlet Knights might eventually have a QB to rely on in 2019 and was wholesome then.
Nope, Carter never returned to the area and suffered a concussion against Iowa. He will never go back to the field after announcing his retirement from soccer on Wednesday. Its a move by Carter who is putting his health before football, which wasnt likely to lead to a professional career.
For a few matches he showcased possible in Lubbock. Nothing materialized to him and his profession at Rutgers was short lived. He may be the only real thing this season to lead Rutgers so thats something, I suppose.
Carter beat out Artur Sitkowski in school camp to find the job. It did not last long, though, as Carter had to depart with this concussion against Iowa. When Sitowski trotted it out had to create Rutgers fans cringe. Sitkowski was the newcomer in New Jersey last season and it was, well, intriguing.
Sitkowski has been the worst quarterback from the FBS. He retreated a yikes worthy 4 touchdowns and 18 interceptions with only 49.1% completions. Theyd have moved in that direction if Rutgers had anyone on the depth chart behind him afterward. Sitkowski had no competition despite being terrible, so that he played the season at quarterback out.
The ball has not turned nearly as much thus far, but Sitkowski is obviously shy. New head trainer Nunzio Campanile, who replaced Chris Ash, can be trying to keep it easy for Sitkowski. Head below for our complimentary Minnesota vs. Rutgers pick.

Rutgers were intending on running their offense around Raheem Blackshears floor match. They were going to hammer the ball with Blackshear and branch from there. But, not and Rutgers and Blackshear have consented to have a redshirt play this year. For that which is a Rutgers staff in a couple of years, that gives him a second year of qualification. This is a lost season, so that there really is no point in burning a year of Blackshear and possibly getting him hurt from blowouts.
Sitkowski has passed this year. His touchdown pass was from BC at a 30-16 reduction. Sitkowski is a real pocket passer. Sitkowski is what you call a statue, although carter had a bit of mobility and could roll out of their pocket. Theres nothing wrong with that if he can pass the soccer. So Rutgers is very limited by what they could do with him, However he cant. Sitkowski does not have the benefit of handing the ball off to Blackshear, either.
Rutgers will have to navigate past a Minnesota defense who have allowed only 311.8 yards per game. With an average of just 192 passing yards allowed, they have been strong against the pass in particular. It is difficult to have faith doing anything in this competition. Sitkowski handed for 106 yards in a 52-0 blowout from Michigan.
They were on the other side of the coin, although Minnesota are coming off a blowout as well. The Gophers blew the Nebraska Cornhuskers from the water. Nebraska are one of the teams in college football this year, a week and Minnesota made their season. The run game headed by Rodney Smith, whos at the top-10 with 675 rushing yards per game, will be a burden to handle for Rutgers.
The Golden Gophers are averaging 186.2 metres per game to the floor. It is terrible news for a Rutgers staff whove gotten gashed for at least 200 yards rushing a game. Minnesota are going to help keep the ball and gash Rutgers on the ground, although they have been better against the move. It may not be as ugly as the Michigan match, but this seems like yet another loss for Rutgers. A 42-7 win for Minnesota to give them the cover Saturday at New Jersey.
