I would be rubbing my palms and thinking what a brilliant opportunity I’ve got this year, if I was Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers.
Even though Liverpool and Manchester City are miles ahead of everyone else at the peak of the table, the groups who are generally in the chasing pack have got significant troubles.
The Foxes are the’best of the rest‘ right now in position, and they should be thinking they can remain there.
From what we have seen so far the very best six over the summer and rodgers targeted, his negative not only have a brilliant chance of making it, the top four is a real possibility for them also.
They definitely shouldn’t be scared of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United or even Tottenham, since their recent performances have shown us there is nothing to fear.
Leicester played poorly a week, when they dropped to United. However, they revealed their qualities when they deserved the 3 points and beat Tottenham on Saturday.
The Spurs team of mauricio Pochettino are having a difficult time at the moment, especially – they have not managed a league victory.
Tottenham have led by a goal at half-time within their previous three away games – against Arsenal, Olympiakos and now the Foxes – but failed to win any of these, which informs you that they have a flair about them that they don’t look able to put right.
They had a fantastic season last time out, reaching the Champions League final and producing the best four of the Premier League for a fourth consecutive year under Pochettino – however they still look a long way from reaching the next level and lifting a serious title challenge.
Arsenal showed great character to return from 2-1 down to beat Aston Villa with 10 guys on Sunday but that win does not disguise the fact they’ve got huge problems.
Since their midfield doesn’t have sufficient players that seem able to monitor runners, it is not just their back-line to blame, but nevertheless they are all over the area.
Are at a similar vessel.
They revealed against Liverpool that a danger is carried by them and will always score goals however for boss Frank Lampard , they always look like conceding them too.
Which means you are going to get a whole great deal of inconsistency, A good deal of the players are young and naive – and that’s costing them goals.
They’ll put in some fantastic performances – such as they did by also their triumph over Wolves and Liverpool on Sunday weekend, however they won’t always get the correct results due to their inexperience.
At Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs put over the weekend – Manchester United did not manage a lot of the in their defeat.
When he faced the media afterwards old Trafford boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was optimistic, but he must be aware of exactly how poor his group were.
I understand why he defended them, because he has some young players and he does not want to ruin their assurance by criticising them but I presume he is going to soon be saying things independently.
They were bad all lacking fight in addition to any ingenuity, urgency or spark . It was simply unacceptable.
It is now clear that United took a gamble if they sold striker Romelu Lukaku and asked players who are either unproven or untried goalscorers to substitute him.
Marcus Rashford has talent, but he still has lots of improving to do. Mason Greenwood has huge potential, but it’s a big ask for him personally to direct the assault of United at age 17.
Together with Anthony Martial injured and Greenwood sick, they did not even have a recognized centre-forward about the seat to substitute Rashford if he limped off London Stadium on Sunday after an hour.
I’ve some sympathy for Rashford, that failed to score in open play for the sixth consecutive game this year, since it wouldn’t give me good hope of getting 25 or 30 goals if I had been playing in that group – but he’s got to help himself too.
We don’t understand if the 21-year-old is going to wind up like a centre-forward, however if he is going to be a top-class striker having a killer instinct afterward his motion in the box should improve dramatically, and he needs to learn how to score the horrible aims as well.
United’s team is lacking midfield in addition to something which was highlighted by their seat on Sunday when they sent on Jesse Lingard, front, Fred and Angel Gomes to try to save a point.
But Solskjaer has to come across some more creativity from somewhere, so it is vital he gets more from Paul Pogba if the France midfielder returns to fitnesscenter.
Teams around the break are currently sitting and hitting, but in addition they have to discover a means to break down areas who defend themselves.
We found them fight to do when they lost at home to Crystal Palace in August, and it had been just the same contrary to the Hammers, who had been well organised and did not give distance away.
It is fine if playing the break is United’s program A, but what are?
The 1 consolation for him is that a few of the other large clubs are struggling too, although we have not seen anything to suggest that Solskjaer has found a response yet.
