Franco Smith to coach Italy at 2020 Six Nations

Italy will be coached by franco Smith in the 2020 Six Countries while the hunt for the permanent replacement of Conor OShea persists.
OShea had a contract before May next season but has abandoned the job that he took in 2016 – the Irishman is allegedly taking up a function with all the RFU.
The Italian Rugby Federation have stated they will declare a head coach by July 1.
Smith coached German side Treviso for six years before taking over as coach of the Cheetahs of the PRO14, starting in 2007, and also played with Test to the Springboks between 1997 and 1999.
The 47-year-old was also coach of South Africa under Allister Coetzee at 2017.
Italy open their Six Nations campaign against defending champions Wales on February 1.
