The major story in Vancouver nowadays is Quinn Hughes, the seventh-overall pick last year who formally signed with the Canucks two weeks ago. He had been nursing an ankle injury he got through the NCAA playoffs, but is anticipated make his debut this evening.
Vancouver Coach Travis Green has stated he plans to put Hughes on the ice with Luke Schenn for his very first NHL game. Hughes is not thinking about making waves saying“I don’t need to do anything special. I just have to get the puck up into the forwards because they are so proficient. I am only going to try to do my job and keep the puck out of our web.“
