Phil Simmons reappointed West Indies head coach

Phil Simmons has been reappointed three decades later he was sacked from the place.
Even the 56-year-old former opening batsman formerly held the function in 2015-16, together with the Windies winning the ICC World T20 under Simmons before he was released due todifferences in culture and tactical approach.
Cricket West Indies (CWI) had drawn up a shortlist of candidates such as Simmons, former batsman Desmond Haynes and Floyd Reifer, who oversaw West Indies disappointing World Cup campaign in England as interim coach.
Simmons, who also led Ireland before 2015 from 2007 and coached Afghanistan, will return to the function.

West Indies confront Afghanistan in six limited-overs matches along with a Evaluation in November, with the series to be staged in India, where Windies will remain for a tour of the host country in December.
